Jemma Taylor

Biography
Jemma is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), a registered Medicare provider, an approved SIRA provider (CTP insurance and workers compensation insurance), and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has psychological experience in industries including occupational rehabilitation, disability, crisis support, and education. Jemma has worked with clients of varying ages (from early childhood to late adulthood) and diverse backgrounds. She takes a warm, empathic, and individualised approach working with individuals, families, couples, and supporters such as teachers, carers, and support workers.
Approach
Jemma works collaboratively with her clients to provide psychological assessments and interventions. She uses evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). Jemma is passionate about supporting her clients to see themselves in a non-judgmental stance, increase self-compassion, and build coping skills.
