Lauren Melville - Provisional Psychologist (Hornsby)
Lauren is a dedicated and empathetic Provisional Psychologist who is passionate about supporting clients’ well-being through evidence-based interventions. She works with clients across the lifespan to assist them in living more meaningful, fulfilling lives, employing a client-centred approach. Specifically, Lauren enjoys facilitating self-discovery through psychometric assessments as well as working toward client goals with therapeutic intervention.
Lauren has experience working in inpatient and community settings. She has worked with clients with the following clinical presentations: anxiety, depression, bipolar, autism, ADHD, dissociation, substance use difficulties, personality-related concerns, PTSD, and complex trauma. In particular, one of her main interests is supporting neurodivergent individuals. She employs a predominantly cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach that is complemented with elements of dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) along with other modalities. Additionally, Lauren has experience facilitating group therapy, including addictions, DBT, mood and anxiety, and veterans groups. Lauren is particularly passionate about supporting children and adolescents through psychological assessment and therapy, striving to improve their holistic well-being.
