Dr. Yiannis Makryllos

Yiannis is a Psychiatrist in our Macquarie Clinic who brings a rich experience from acute, veteran and community mental health settings within the NSW public health system.

Yiannis is medically trained in NSW, Australia, with a background in biochemistry and an interest in the cross-section between psychotherapy, behaviour and neuroscience. He intends to work in collaboration with patients and their families as they navigate challenges of mental illness, stress and trauma.

Aside from Yiannis’ experience as an intensivist managing treatment resistance and physical health comorbidities in the hospital, his interest in psychotherapy reflects a holistic practice of psychiatry. A whole-person approach to better understand your symptoms, trauma and past experiences is key to working together to achieve your personal goals.
