Salome Emmanuel - Registered Psychologist (Parramatta)
Salome is a dedicated registered psychologist with a strong passion for supporting individuals in achieving their mental health goals. She has experience working with adolescents and adults, supporting clients from diverse backgrounds with a range of psychological presentations and individual experiences. She takes an individualised approach to therapy, recognising that each person’s experiences, strengths, and needs are unique.
Salome has a particular interest in neurodivergence and neuro-affirming practice, with experience supporting neurodivergent teenagers and adults, including individuals with ADHD and autism. She recognises that neurodivergent individuals may experience emotions, relationships, communication, and everyday demands differently. Her approach focuses on understanding each client’s unique strengths and needs while supporting them to develop practical strategies and greater self-understanding.
Her primary areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, interpersonal difficulties, and neurodivergence. She utilises a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centred Therapy, tailoring these approaches to suit each client.
Known for her warm, compassionate, and supportive approach, Salome prioritises creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable openly sharing their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. She believes that seeking support is an act of courage and works collaboratively with each client, respecting their individual pace and readiness throughout the therapeutic process.
Salome views therapy as a collaborative journey of self-discovery and growth, supporting clients to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, navigate life’s challenges, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
